Work in a dynamic classroom environment focused on student success, providing instruction to a manageable self-contained caseload of 12 students with mild to moderate needs. This contract opportunity is full time, Monday through Friday, during the academic year from August 13, 2026, through June 3, 2027, with consistent hours from 7:15am to 3:15pm. Two roles are open: EC Middle School Teacher and EC Intensive Needs Teacher, working closely to foster growth and achievement.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching License (or eligibility to obtain for middle school level)
- Experience instructing students with mild to moderate disabilities in self-contained settings
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Effective classroom management and differentiated instruction skills
- Strong communication skills for working with colleagues, families, and specialists
- Flexibility and a collaborative mindset to address diverse learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction aligned with students IEP goals
- Maintain thorough records of student progress, behavior, and communication
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and service providers
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute insight on best practices
- Foster a welcoming, structured, and positive learning environment
- Communicate proactively with families regarding student development and achievements
