Mountain Valley Community School has an opening for a Special Education Teacher, Emotional Life Skills, Grade K-4 Level, to work as part of our Special Education team.

**$2000 Differential for Certified Special Education Teachers.**

This is an exciting opportunity to Inspire students, engage them in hands-on exploration and cultivate their understanding, as well as making a difference in the lives of students while creating a dynamic learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive and interactive lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum objectives, emphasizing inquiry-based learning and critical thinking skills.
• Utilize effective classroom management stategies to establish a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment conducive to student sucess and engagement.
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs and styles, ensuring all students have the opportunity to excel.
• Incorporate hands-on experiments, demonstrations, and technology to enhance learning experiences and deepen students' understanding.
• Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing meanigful feedback to guide their academic growth.

We are 45 minutes from Lewiston/Auburn and 90 minutes from Portland. We have great outdoor recreation and children who need you!

We will consider Conditional certfications, if you haven't earned your full Professional certification.

Benefit for Teachers: If a newly hired teacher (to RSU 10) is professionally certified and chooses not to take courses their first year, they qualify for up to $2500 towards existing student loans.
