The Harvard Public Schools welcomes applications for a Special Education Teacher at Hildreth Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities:-Establish and communicate clear learning objectives-Develop age-appropriate instructional strategies to achieve the curriculum goals-Assess and evaluate student's performance on a regular basis-Set and maintain acceptable standards of classroom behavior to establish an orderly learning environment-IEP development, review, and data collection-Within mainstream or in a pullout setting, provide teamed, small group or individualized instruction and/or academic support according to the general and specific goals outlined in students' individualized educational plans-Collaborate with service providers as indicated in student education plans-Oversee the assignment of Learning Assistants, if indicated by Principal or Special Education Administrator-Provide small group or individual instruction to special needs pupils as prescribed in their educational plans-Modify and adapt the curricula, materials, and physical environment to meet the needs of individual students-Co-teaching experience preferred Harvard Public Schools is committed to maintaining a work and learning environment free from discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, pregnancy, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital/civil union status, ancestry, place of birth, age, citizenship status, veteran status, political affiliation, genetic information or disability, as defined and required by state and federal laws.
