Special Education Teacher in Davis, CA

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification or licensure for the state
• Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters preferred)
• Experience creating and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
• Ability to differentiate instruction based on student needs
• Skilled in managing classroom behaviors and supporting social-emotional development
• Adaptability and problem-solving abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, review, and execute IEPs in coordination with multidisciplinary teams
• Deliver personalized instruction individually and in small groups to meet academic goals
• Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and adjust strategies accordingly
• Communicate regularly with families, providing updates on progress and strategies for support
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment
• Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and ongoing professional development
