Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification or licensure for the state
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters preferred)
- Experience creating and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Ability to differentiate instruction based on student needs
- Skilled in managing classroom behaviors and supporting social-emotional development
- Adaptability and problem-solving abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and execute IEPs in coordination with multidisciplinary teams
- Deliver personalized instruction individually and in small groups to meet academic goals
- Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and adjust strategies accordingly
- Communicate regularly with families, providing updates on progress and strategies for support
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and ongoing professional development
