Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to support a Kindergarten and 1st grade caseload in Vacaville, CA. This full-time role is ideal for an educator experienced in working with students with moderate to severe needs, providing individualized instruction and fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized instruction to students with moderate to severe disabilities
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Create a structured, engaging, and safe classroom environment
• Communicate effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams

Qualifications

• Active California ESN or Moderate/Severe Teaching Credential (required)
• Experience working with elementary-aged students (Kinder/1st preferred)
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to student growth and inclusive education
