Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching credential
• Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters preferred)
• Prior experience in K-12 special education settings
• Strong understanding of IEP development and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
• Flexibility, patience, and a positive approach to unique challenges

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Adapt general education lessons and teach various subjects to meet each students needs
• Engage in regular progress assessments, adjusting strategies for classroom success
• Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, support staff, and parents
• Provide a safe and nurturing learning environment that encourages student independence
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with school and state policies
