JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Day-to-Day Substitute Teacher

Evaluated by: Principal or Assistant Principal

Job Description: The Substitute Teacher is assigned to deliver a comprehensive program of study in accordance with state law and West Virginia Board of Education and county policies and regulations.

Qualifications: Holds or qualifies for a West Virginia Professional or Temporary Teaching Certificate or Substitute Permit.

Length of Employment: Until regular employee returns or position is vacated, posted and filled

Responsibilities: The Substitute Teacher shall assume the duties of the regular educator for whom s/he is substituting by following the lesson plans of the regular teacher and performing the non-instructional duties assigned to the regular teacher.
