Athol-Royalston Regional School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Business Teacher to join the faculty at Athol High School. The successful candidate will provide engaging instruction in business-related courses that prepare students for college, career, and civic readiness. The ideal candidate will foster critical thinking, financial literacy, communication, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving skills through relevant and rigorous instruction. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position serving students in grades 9-12.Primary Responsibilities Plan and deliver standards-based instruction in business education courses, which may include: Introduction to Business Personal Finance Word Processing, Spreadsheets, and Presentation Marketing Accounting Career Readiness and Employability Skills Develop engaging lessons aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and district expectations. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, social, and emotional needs of students. Utilize instructional technology and project-based learning strategies to promote student engagement and authentic learning experiences. Create a positive classroom environment that promotes high expectations, student participation, and academic risk-taking. Assess student learning regularly and use data to inform instructional decisions. Communicate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and administrators regarding student progress and classroom expectations. Participate collaboratively in professional learning communities, department meetings, faculty meetings, and district professional development activities. Maintain accurate records related to attendance, grading, and student performance. Support the school's mission of preparing all students for post-secondary success. Advise/co-advise student organizations or extracurricular activities related to business, leadership, or career readiness, as assigned.
