ASSISTANT BAND DIRECTOR

ARROYO GRANDE HIGH SCHOOL

2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR

We are now accepting applications for the following certificated position(s) beginning in the 2026-2027 school year.

POSITIO N(S):Assistant Band Director

STIPEND: Stipend $2,250/year

REQUIREMENTS:

• Demonstrate knowledge and experience in band/ music
• Valid California driver's license
• DOJ and FBI Background check clearance

JOB SUMMARY: The Assistant Band Director supports sectionals and ensemble rehearsals with the AGHS marching band. The Assistant Band Director should be comfortable running visual ensemble, music ensemble, and sectionals. Schedule will be determined in coordination with the band director.

PROCEDURE FOR APPLICATIONS:

Candidates who may also need to drive students in a personal or district vehicle must also complete the Driver Registration Form online and submit a DMV Pull Notice, prior to transporting of students.
• Internal Certificated, contracted Lucia Mar employees: All interested current temporary and probationary-zero LMUSD contracted employees may apply as an internal candidate.
• Internal Classified and substitutes, must complete an online application via Frontline as an internal candidate.
• Include a letter of interest and resume related to music experience.
