Music/Band/Choir Teacher - Full or Part Time - Middle/High School

Scotts Valley Unified School District provides every student with educational and social learning opportunities so they can develop their skills and thrive in a modern world. We are small, comprehensive public school district in the beautiful redwood mountains, located 5 minutes from Santa Cruz and 20 minutes from San Jose. The district is comprised of 4 schools - two elementary, a middle school, and a high school, and our total enrollment is about 2100 students. Plan and develop a comprehensive 6-12 music program in district of 2700 students (2 elementary schools, middle school, and high school). Develop , organize, and supervise 6-12 music program; develop and teach choral and instrumental music classes grades 6-12 as program grows. High school choir and band; middle school beginning and advanced bands and garage band (8th grade).

Ideal candidate is a creative, energetic teacher with good music skills, strong organizational skills, ability to work as part of a team while assuming a leadership role, and excellent rapport with students of all ages.
