Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Job Order: Special Education Teacher (ASD/DCD - Center-Based) Client: Mahtomedi Public Schools (ISD 832) Contact: Director of Student Support Services Location: K-2 Building (Mahtomedi, MN) Position Details Discipline: Special Education Teacher (ASD/DCD - Center-Based) Dates: ASAP - End of Current School Year Hours: Full-Time (Typical school hours) Caseload / Responsibilities Center-based classroom supporting students with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and DCD (Developmental Cognitive Disabilities) Case management for approximately 6 students Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs Provide differentiated instruction aligned with student needs Collaborate with paraprofessionals (strong para support in classroom) Work closely with multidisciplinary team (OT, SLP, Psych, etc.) Support behavioral and academic development Maintain compliance with state and district guidelines Bill Rate (BR): TBD / Pending Confirmation Minimum Qualifications (MN Requirements) Active Minnesota Special Education Teaching License Appropriate licensure in one or more of the following areas: ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) DCD (Developmental Cognitive Disabilities) Bachelor's Degree (minimum) in Special Education or related field Experience working in a center-based or self-contained setting Preferred Qualifications Prior experience managing a caseload in a center-based classroom Experience supporting K-2 populations Strong background in behavior management strategies (PBIS, ABA, etc.) Experience working with paraprofessional teams Ability to manage multiple student needs while maintaining compliance Strong communication and collaboration skills

Compensation for this position ranges from $31.78 to $51.78. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
