High School - Special Education Teacher

Serve as liaison for students with moderate disabilitiesProvide individualized and small group instruction for students with moderate disabilities across multiple core curriculum areasDeliver (as needed) specially designed instruction across multiple settings including substantially separate, co-taught, and inclusion settingsEffectively communicate and collaborate with students, families, general education staff, special education staff, counseling staff, and administrators to implement Individualized Education ProgramsFacilitate team meetings, write IEPs, and oversee special education paperwork including progress reports and observations.Support the academic and social-emotional needs of students including the development of executive functioning skills, self-advocacy skills, and transition plans.Maintain a classroom environment that is positive, safe, and has clear expectations for academic effort, attendance, and conduct.Special Education Certification Required
