Spearville High/Middle School is seeking a qualified and motivated Band and Choir Teacher for the upcoming school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in both instrumental and vocal music, while fostering student engagement, creativity, and appreciation for the performing arts.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction in band and choir courses in alignment with district and state standards
• Plan, prepare, and deliver effective lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
• Organize and direct concerts, performances, and school-related musical events
• Encourage student participation in extracurricular music opportunities, including contests and festivals
• Maintain inventory, care, and organization of musical instruments, equipment, and music library
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration to support overall student success

• Bachelors degree in Music Education or related field required
• Current Kansas teaching license with appropriate endorsement, or ability to obtain licensure
• Demonstrated knowledge of instrumental and vocal instruction
• Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills
