Duties
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards.
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and respect.
- Utilize various instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Incorporate hands-on activities, labs, and technology to enhance learning experiences.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Participate in school events, professional development, and team collaborations.
- Uphold and enforce school policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science Education, Biology, or a related field
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsements (if not certified, then willing to work to obtain certification).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students in a rural school setting.
- Previous teaching experience is a plus, but not required
Salary/Benefits
Salary Schedule based on experience and levels of education
- range $43,000-$76,000
