Duties

  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards.
  • Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and respect.
  • Utilize various instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Incorporate hands-on activities, labs, and technology to enhance learning experiences.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback.
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Participate in school events, professional development, and team collaborations.
  • Uphold and enforce school policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Science Education, Biology, or a related field
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsements (if not certified, then willing to work to obtain certification).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students in a rural school setting.
  • Previous teaching experience is a plus, but not required

Salary/Benefits

Salary Schedule based on experience and levels of education

  • range $43,000-$76,000
