RTHS is seeking a Secondary Science Teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year to teach biology and geology. RTHS offers multiple levels of science classes including honors, and AP. RTHS is described as a small urban school in a rural setting. RTHS has a very diverse student body that is celebrated as strength of the school. The faculty and staff works within a collaborative culture. RTHS is committed to recruiting, hiring and retaining a diverse staff.

Requirements:
Illinois teacher licensure with the appropriate endorsements.

Salary and benefits can be found in the Collective Bargaining Agreement at www.rths193.org. A new teacher mentoring program is well established. RTHS pays 100% of the employee's health care and vision premiums. RTHS offers tuition reimbursement for work towards an advanced degree. A relocation reimbursement is available.
