    Glen Ellyn District 41 is Seeking an Full-Time ESL Teacher at Kindergarten Center

    License Requirements: Professional Educator's License with ESL Endorsement(Grades K-9) Or Bilingual Endorsement (K-9) & Foreign Language Spanish Endorsement required

    • Assesses newly arriving non-English speaking students
    • Provides evaluation and testing for non-English speaking and limited proficiency students as required by the state
    • Delivers instruction to ESL students appropriate to his/her level as determined by formal assessment
    • Collaborates with classroom teachers regarding each student's needs and strategies that can be used to meet those needs
    • Provides support and resource information to classroom teachers
    • Administers formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and drive instruction
    • Establishes and maintains communication with parents
    • Maintains accurate, complete and correct records as required by the law and District policy
    • Attends staff and student related meetings to meet the needs of the program and students
    • Participates in in-service and teacher training provided by the district
