Essex North Shore is seeking a Spanish Teacher to join the Foreign Language Department.
CORI, SORI and SAFIS required.
Licensed or licensable by DESE as a World Language Spanish Teacher (5-12).

JOB DESCRIPTION
ACADEMIC TEACHER
QUALIFICATIONS: Licensure by DESE as a Teacher
REPORTS TO: Humanities Coordinator
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide instruction in the content in accordance with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks in the specified content area.
- Provide instruction in Theory to students in all four grade levels, as assigned.
- Document student performance, student behavior, and student achievement within the career education setting.
- Provides review and reinforcement of new concepts; support students in the completion of their assigned tasks.
- Demonstrate knowledge of students’ IEPs, as well as the accommodations and modifications necessary for student success; modify assignments, tests, and quizzes in collaboration with special educators, if required.
- Develops resources for students to be successful, such as models, graphic organizers, and copies of class notes, video clips, demonstrations, etc..
- Modify assignments, tests, and quizzes as required.
- Participate as a member of the Content Department; collaborate with teachers within the department and within the cluster.
- Maintains documentation, including student performance, behavior, progress data, notation of student absences/tardies, and conversations with parents and administrators.
- Provide content support outside of the general education classroom, as necessary.
- Integrate technology into the curriculum.
- Respond to any correspondence, both oral and written, that comes from a parent or guardian.
- Participates in conferences and meetings when appropriate; contribute observations and ideas.
- Accept additional responsibilities as may be required under the direction of the Principal or Designee.
