Special Education Teacher - Estill, South Carolina

Several full-time openings are available for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. These contract positions offer the chance to work with either elementary or middle school students, serving varied groups ranging from small self-contained classes to larger resource classrooms. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field
• Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience working with elementary or middle school students is preferred
• Understanding of IEP development and implementation processes
• Strong communication skills for partnering with families and colleagues
• Adaptability and creativity in lesson planning and behavior support
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction for students in resource or self-contained settings, working with small groups of 8 to 18 students depending on assignment
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Differentiate curriculum in alignment with each students learning needs and abilities
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, general education teachers, and specialists
• Communicate progress and growth with families and service providers
• Support social, emotional, and behavioral growth alongside academic achievement
