Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Current and valid state teaching certification with Special Education endorsement
• Previous experience supporting K-12 students with diverse learning needs, including IEP development and implementation
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with general educators, support staff, and families
• Excellent organizational, communication, and classroom management abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized instruction according to students IEPs
• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies for students with various learning challenges
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional methods when needed
• Participate in IEP meetings, progress reviews, and student support teams
• Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and goals
• Build positive relationships with students, fostering self-confidence and independence
• Collaborate with educational staff to support inclusion and differentiation within the general education setting
