Key Qualifications:

• Current licensure or certification to teach Special Education
• Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Experience working with students with disabilities or learning differences
• Strong knowledge of IEP (Individualized Education Program) development, implementation, and compliance
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, staff, and support teams
• Skilled in adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to meet students individual needs
• Organizational abilities to monitor progress, document interventions, and maintain records

Responsibilities:

• Develop and adapt lesson plans tailored to students academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
• Implement and monitor IEPs, making adjustments as necessary for student growth
• Work closely with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers to ensure student inclusion
• Provide direct instruction and interventions in both small-group and one-on-one settings
• Communicate regularly with families and participate in multidisciplinary meetings
• Track and report on student progress, conduct assessments, and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
• Foster a nurturing, positive, and respectful learning environment
