This contract opportunity runs from August 1 through May 22, offering you the chance to guide and empower students in grades 3-8. You'll focus your expertise in either an inclusion role for those with low-incidence disabilities (SLD, autism, OHI) or in an extended resource setting serving a broader range of student needs-including autism, OHI, and SLD. The role is full-time or part-time, supporting a single school community where your impact will be both visible and deeply felt. Qualifications & Experience: Valid Special Education Teaching certification: Comprehensive License 461 for full-time, 144 or 145 also accepted for part-time roles Experience working with students in grades 3-8 preferred; new graduates are encouraged and welcomed Commitment to supporting a diverse spectrum of disabilities, adapting strategies for both inclusion and resource settings Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and school staff Ability to work onsite (no virtual/remote responsibilities) Responsibilities: Develop, adapt, and implement effective instruction tailored to students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom climate that encourages growth and participation Collaborate with general education teachers and specialists to coordinate services and accommodations Monitor and document student progress, contributing to ongoing IEP reviews and parent conferences Actively participate in professional development and team meetings This position follows the traditional school schedule-with five workdays per week, seven hours each day-allowing you time to engage meaningfully within the school environment and also embrace a healthy work-life balance.
