This position offers full-time hours in onsite Substantially Separate Classrooms designed for students in K-1st and 3rd-5th grade with diverse, complex needs and significant physical and cognitive disabilities.

Youll work as part of a collaborative team, sharing your expertise and compassion with students who require individualized attention and adaptive instruction. A minimum of three skilled Special Education Teachers are needed, so youll have supportive peers and may also work alongside RBTs assigned to specific students.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility)
  • Previous experience in substantially separate or intensive needs classrooms preferred
  • Ability to implement specially designed instruction
  • Experience using applied behavior analysis (highly valued)
  • Capable of supporting students with significant disabilities, including non-verbal communication and autism spectrum disorders
  • Experience providing or assisting with toileting and physical care needs
  • Collaborative approach and strong communication skills

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalized, differentiated instruction to students with significant cognitive and physical challenges
  • Develop and adapt materials and strategies to meet individual IEP goals
  • Foster a respectful, encouraging classroom atmosphere
  • Collaborate with aides, RBTs, therapists, and families to ensure continuity of care and learning
  • Assist in toileting routines and physical support for students as needed
  • Collect and utilize data to inform instructional decisions and student progress
