Hooker Middle School, Goshen Central School District, Goshen, NY Position Type: Full-Time, 10-Month Instructional Appointment Start Date: September 1, 2026 Salary: Per Goshen Teachers' Association Contract Position Summary Goshen Central School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated Math Teacher (Grades 7-8) to join our team at C.J. Hooker Middle School. The successful candidate will provide high-quality instruction, foster a supportive learning environment, and inspire students to achieve their full potential in mathematics. This is a probationary position , providing the opportunity for long-term employment upon successful completion of the probationary period. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with NYS Learning Standards for Mathematics (Grades 7-8). Assess and monitor student learning, providing timely feedback and support. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and instruction. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Participate in school and district professional development, committees, and events. Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and staff. Qualifications Required: Valid New York State Certification in Mathematics (Grades 7-12) or eligibility for certification. Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field. Strong knowledge of middle and high school mathematics curriculum. Preferred: Prior teaching experience at the middle or high school level. Experience integrating technology into instruction.
