Har-Bur Middle School is looking for a dynamic Spanish teacher to join a team of passionate and collaborative educators. Har-Bur Middle School believes in fostering student growth through a model of high-quality learning. The World Language department at Har-Bur is a collaborative and collegial group of educators who strive to instill a love for language and an appreciation for the cultures of others. We are looking for a candidate who will bring their own knowledge, expertise, and ideas to the table. An ideal Spanish teacher at Har-Bur Middle School is someone who creates engaging lessons and employs a variety of instructional strategies to help students be successful learners. Our team of world language teachers has the opportunity to meet several times weekly for a grade 5-8 world language PLC, and there are several professional learning opportunities throughout the year. Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will hold the following certification and have in-depth knowledge and experience in a combination of the areas below:
CT Endorsement 023 Spanish
Knowledge of or willingness to use Microsoft Office 365
Excellent communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
Preferred experience using restorative practices to maintain an organized and productive learning environment for all students.
Ability to collaborate with other teachers and integrate interdisciplinary approaches.
Ability to provide constructive feedback to students on their communication skills.
