Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher with a highly respected school district in the North West region. This contract opportunity runs from August 10, 2026 to May 28, 2027 and offers a full-time schedule of 35 on-site hours per week. You'll be assigned to one elementary-focused campus (final location to be determined) and lead a self-contained ESE classroom supporting students of diverse learning levels and exceptionalities. Your experience in self-contained settings and your dedication to fostering student growth will be key as you guide learners on their unique academic journeys. The role emphasizes collaboration and evidence-based instruction, making it a rewarding and dynamic position for educators passionate about special education. What We're Looking For: Active Florida ESE certification, as well as K-6 or PK-3 General Education certification Proven experience leading self-contained special education classrooms Thorough understanding of a range of exceptionalities and differentiated instruction techniques Willingness to work exclusively on-site (no virtual/remote options) Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to complete fingerprinting and credentialing requirements, including JLA badge clearance if necessary Responsibilities Include: Designing and delivering individualized instruction based on student IEPs Managing a diverse caseload with varying supports and modifications Creating a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment Collaborating with support staff, families, and other educators Monitoring progress, maintaining documentation, and participating in IEP meetings If you're ready to take on a fulfilling contract role where every day brings opportunities to support remarkable students, we want to hear from you.
