Marblehead High School - Special Education Teacher Anticipated OpeningSchool Year 2026-27

Position Responsibilities:

Marblehead is seeking a Special Education teacher at Marblehead High School (grades 9-12) to coordinate and provide special education services and supports with the chairperson and general education teachers, and provide direct instruction on student goals and objectives. The teacher must hold a valid MA DESE license (Moderate Disabilities 9-12 preferred) and be knowledgeable about current MA Curriculum Frameworks and experienced in differentiated instructional practices, as well as supporting students with therapeutic (social/emotional/behavioral) needs. Additionally, preferred candidates will have experience with:

1) IEP writing/implementation2) Formal academic evaluations3) Preparing quarterly progress reports4) Working as part of a team5) Student case management6) Co-teaching7) Fostering strong parent communication8) Completion of other duties as assigned by Chairperson, Building Administrators, or Director of Student Services
