This is a position for the 2026-27 school year and possibly beyond. Floating Substitute Teachers are assigned to a building in the district, in this case Beach Elementary, and are typically assigned to a classroom when other substitutes cannot be found. F lexibility and willingness to work in a variety of buildings and grade levels is preferred. PAY: $160 PER DAY THROUGH EDUSTAFF __ GUARANTEED DAILY WORK RESPONSIBILITIES: Follow the lesson plans of the regular classroom teacher Establish effective, positive relationships with students, parents, teachers, other support staff, and administrators Apply sound principles of learning and motivation in the planning, implementation and assessment phases of instructional delivery Utilize a variety of quality classroom management techniques to maintain a highly productive learning environment QUALIFICATIONS: Successful experience as a substitute teacher Ability to meet certification requirements as a substitute through MDE Ability to communicate well at various levels with students, parents, and school personnel Evidence of a positive attitude and human relation skills Evidence of high standards of ethics, honesty, and integrity in personal and professional matters High level of flexibility DESIRED TRAITS: Reliable Personable Strong management skills Positive attitude Patient Consistent Enjoys working with students Experience working with elementary students Follows Lesson Plans Proactive use of time Relationship builder with students High expectations for all students Problem solver REPORTS TO: Building Principal WHO ARE WE?
