Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for creating engaging and effective lesson plans that ignite a love of science in our high school students. You will teach both Integrated Chemistry Physics (ICP) and Chemistry courses, fostering a deep understanding of fundamental scientific concepts. Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver innovative lesson plans that meet state and national science standards for ICP and Chemistry.
- Conduct safe and engaging laboratory experiments, ensuring students understand and follow all safety protocols.
- Utilize a variety of instructional methods, including lectures, discussions, activities, and technology integration.
- Create and administer assessments to measure student learning and progress.
- Provide individualized support and differentiation for students with diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the science department to ensure curriculum alignment and professional development.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with students, parents, and guardians.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Science Education, or a related field.
- Valid state teaching license for Chemistry, Physics or Physical Science.
- Strong knowledge of ICP and Chemistry concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Passion for science and a commitment to student success.
Contract Days: 184 Days

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Appropriate Indiana Education Licensure
- Able to work effectively and communicate with a wide range of students, staff and administration.
- Multi-tasking ability and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to utilize 21st century technological skills to enhance teaching and learning.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
