The successful candidate will:Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at times designated;Plan and implement a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students;Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students;Guide the learning process toward achievement of established curriculum goals and communicate clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects;Prepare for classes as assigned and employ a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media appropriate to student needs;Strive through instruction and professional practice to implement district instructional goals, objectives, and performance expectations;Assess student learning on a regular basis, provide progress reports as required, and communicate with families as needed;Maintain accurate, complete, and current records;Diagnose learning challenges and collaborate with district specialists when appropriate;Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities;Follow established administrative policies and develop fair and consistent classroom expectations;Maintain an ongoing program of professional growth and continuous improvement;Attend school-sponsored activities and events consistent with the teachers' contract;Contribute to district and building-level discussions regarding curriculum, budget, facilities, and school culture;Collaborate with colleagues to support student success and strengthen the school community.
