Wicomico County Public Schools is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative math teacher to continue the implementation of our new Young Business Leaders Signature program. This groundbreaking initiative focuses on business, marketing, financial literacy and entrepreneurship education for sixth and seventh grade students. As a teacher, you will play a key role in shaping and refining the curriculum, fostering a dynamic learning environment, and inspiring students to explore the exciting world of commerce.?

SALARY

Commensurate with certification and experience based on the Wicomico County Salary Schedule for Teachers.? Includes employee benefits package.

QUALIFICATIONS

Valid teaching certification.

Minimum of 5 years teaching experience preferred.

Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, project-based learning, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Passion for innovative teaching methods and a commitment to student success

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, collaborative, and forward-thinking educational environment.

RESPONSBILITIES

Collaborate with curriculum specialists to develop engaging and standards-aligned lessons within the context of business, marketing, and entrepreneurship.

Create innovative, hands-on activities and projects that integrate real-world applications to enhance students' understanding of key concepts.

Implement the developed curriculum in a dynamic and interactive manner, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Utilize a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and promote student engagement.

Work collaboratively with other pilot teachers, school administrators, and district personnel to share insights, best practices, and feedback.

Attend professional development sessions to stay informed about the latest educational trends and methodologies.

Maintain open communication with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on students' academic progress and the overall success of the program.
