English/Language Arts Teacher (Grades 11-12)

Carroll Jr./Sr. High School is seeking a passionate and student-centered English/Language Arts Teacher for the upcoming school year. This position includes teaching English 11, English 12, and Yearbook.

The ideal candidate is committed to helping students grow in their literacy skills, regardless of their current academic ability, and possesses a strong heart and mission for serving adolescent learners. We are seeking an educator who is student-focused, relationship-driven, and dedicated to helping students develop critical reading, writing, communication, and analytical skills.

Candidates with additional training or professional development in writing instruction and reading intervention/teaching are preferred. Strong relationship-building skills with adolescent students are essential, as the successful candidate will foster a positive classroom culture that supports student growth, engagement, and achievement.

Preferred qualities include:

• A passion for helping students improve literacy skills at all levels
• Experience or training in teaching reading and writing strategies
• Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
• A willingness to collaborate with colleagues and school programs
• The ability to engage students through meaningful and relevant instruction
