Regional Adult ESL Instructor

The Southeast ABE Consortium is seeking one MN-licensed instructor to lead a 6-week, regional adult ESL class for students with Beginning to Intermediate language skills. This class will be delivered through a hybrid online learning model with students attending from Albert Lea, Austin, Faribault, Owatonna, Triton, and Winona. 15-20 students are anticipated, with the majority attending online. Students will have the option of attending in person if they wish to travel to the class. The curriculum to be taught is Burlington English and will be aligned to the skills of enrolled students in consultation with a Burlington English Learning Consultant. Enrollments and approved assessments will be managed by Adult Education support staff, with the instructor managing all aspects of curriculum delivery within the agreed-upon framework for the summer class. Position Requirements: The successful candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the delivery of online learning. Knowledge of Google Classroom, Smartboard, and Document Camera technology tools will be required. Schedule: This class will be taught from 6-8:00 pm on Monday and Tuesday evenings on the following dates: June 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, 30; July 6, 7, 13, 14. The successful candidate must be available for the full 6-week program. This assignment includes 24 hours of direct instruction, 6 hours of classroom per/post prep, and 11.8 hours of instructional prep. Salary: Based on candidate's education and experience per the OEA Master Agreement.
