The position will be 0.8 FTE Spanish with 0.2 FTE French. Building administrators will contact you if you are selected for an interview. Key Responsibilities Design and implement engaging, standards-based lessons in Spanish and French. Cultivate a supportive, inclusive classroom culture where all students feel safe, valued, and empowered to learn. Collaborate closely with colleagues to plan curriculum, align assessments, and support school-wide goals. Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and tailor instruction to individual needs. Build strong, caring relationships with students, promoting both academic and personal growth. Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff to maintain a positive learning environment. Embrace and model the Eastlake credo in daily interactions and professional conduct. Qualifications: Washington State teaching certificate with French and Spanish endorsement Required: Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with a Spanish Language endorsement and a French Language endorsement. A deep commitment to student-centered teaching, inclusion, and equity. Strong collaboration skills and a team-oriented mindset. A passion for language education and meaningful student relationships. Preferred: Experience working with high school students (ages 14-19). Experience teaching in a proficiency-based language classroom. Enthusiasm for contributing to a school culture where everyone feels at home. Salary: Paid per teacher salary schedule with Base contract plus additional contracts for LEAP days, and Responsibility.
