St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute, a Lasallian, Catholic, all-boys high school, announces an opening for a full-time Mathematics teacher to begin work in September 2026. The successful candidate will have the knowledge and skills necessary to teach both introductory and advanced Mathematics classes in geometry, algebra, trigonometry, pre-calculus, and calculus.
Candidate Profile:
Content expertise, a desire and ability to teach students from diverse backgrounds on an individual level, and a love for mathematics education are all required.
Candidates must possess effective communication skills, a willingness to actively engage our students in their learning, and an eagerness to be an active member of the school community. Candidates should embrace the school's Lasallian mission and contribute positively to its culture and community.
A Bachelor's degree is required. A completed (or in-progress) master's degree in Mathematics, Education or a related field is preferable.
Role and Responsibilities:
The candidate will be expected to participate fully in all obligations of a high school teacher, incorporating modern and ever-changing educational technology to suit students' learning.
In addition to classroom instruction, additional responsibilities may include proctoring assignments, chaperoning events, and attending extracurricular programming.
The Mathematics teacher reports to the Principal and will be expected to work collaboratively with our students, faculty, and administrators.
Compensation:
Starting salary ranges from $37,000-$65,000, based on experience, and in accordance with the St. Joseph's Faculty Organization's negotiated contract. Additional compensation is available for candidates with advanced degrees.
