Instructional Assistant

28-30 hours per week

30 min unpaid lunch

Job Qualifications

High School Diploma

Experience with children preferred

Responsibilities

Work with students in grades 7 thru 12

Work closely with the classroom teacher and special education teacher to coordinate instructional efforts.

Assist the teacher by helping to monitor student progress and follow accommodations in IEP.

Assist students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts.

Work with the teacher in situations which require special attention.

Take temporary charge of the program when it is necessary for the teacher to be away.

Assist with other assignments or duties as needed within the school.

Demonstrate flexibility and patience and a positive attitude.

Maintain confidentiality in all matters.
