Reports directly to the building-level principal
Qualifications:
- Valid Teacher's License
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, school personnel, and parents
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to motivate students and get them excited about learning
Essential Functions:
- Implement the assigned program of study (MS College and Career Readiness Standards)
- Fosters a classroom climate conducive to learning
- Utilizes instructional management systems that increase student learning and maximize time on task
- Monitors student progress towards achieving instructional competencies and objectives
- Communicates effectively within the educational community and with parents on a regular basis
- Meets professional responsibilities including any appointed committee selections
- Maintains and upgrades professional skills
- Maintains professional work habits
- Promotes and maintains positive pupil-teacher-parent relationships
- Adheres to the teacher code of conduct
- Responsible for classroom fixed asset inventory
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the classroom teacher and the building-level principal
- Timely reporting of student data (Rti process, grades, absences, etc.)
- Adheres to the teacher code of ethics
Other Functions:
Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of instruction by the assigned building-level principal.
Terms of Employment: Salary and work year to be established by the School BoardEvaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated by the building-level administration with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel utilizing PROFESSIONAL GROWTH SYSTEM guidelines.
