• Winchester High School is looking for a talented and dedicated English teacher who is passionate about creating a student-centered environment conducive to the intellectual, social, and emotional development of high school age students.
• Candidates should have a detailed understanding of effective methods and a strong knowledge of pedagogy for the English classroom that include the writing process, reader response, and a flexible repertoire for assessing skills that incorporates performance-based assessments.
• Candidates should have a growth mindset and embrace collaboration and curriculum development within the goal of continuous improvement. Responsiveness to the value of including diverse texts and the infusion of technology is valued.
• A commitment to developing, selecting and modifying instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students should be part of the regular practice of the candidate.
• Preference will be given to candidates with co-teaching experience.

Must hold a valid DESE Teacher Certification

Master's plus 3 years experience
