High School French (I, II, III, IV) Teacher

PRIMARY TASKS & MAJOR ACTIVITIES

Responsible for planning lessons, carrying out effective instruction, and evaluating student progress toward learning goals. Accountable for creating a positive and productive classroom learning environment. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment. Engage the learner through novel and insightful approaches to French instruction. Implementation of High School French I, II, III, and IV curriculum. Serve as French Club sponsor. Communicate effectively with parents on student comprehension and progress. Support the High School building improvement plan. Participate in District and Building Professional Development opportunities.

EDUCATIONAL/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Missouri certification in French 9-12. Must have a strong knowledge of Missouri Learning Standards and End-of-Course Examinations and many effective instructional strategies. Willingness to collaborate with peers. Willingness to understand and support the District's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan. Must successfully pass a background check and drug test that are satisfactory to the Board of Education.
