Duties

  • Demonstrate qualification and competency with area of assigned instruction.
  • Effectively communicate content knowledge and applications in area of assigned instruction.
  • Design/implement instruction in compliance with prescribed district curriculum and objectives.
  • Utilize instructional tools and apply instructional strategy of current best practice.
  • Communicate with parents positively, professionally, and regularly including parent teacher

conferencing.

  • Engage students in whole group instruction, small group instruction, and individual instruction.
  • Establish/maintain standards of student conduct and control required to achieve full participation in all activities.
  • Create/maintain an organized, uncluttered workspace with display emphasis on function and content.
  • Engage supervisor cooperatively.
  • Engage/interacts with colleagues respectfully.
  • Maintain/provide records including, but not limited to the evaluation of student performance, with accuracy and according the timeline requested.
  • Engage in professional development.
  • Participate in school-wide supervision of students during out of classroom activity.
  • Participate in staff meetings, district/school committees.
  • Participate in student activities by attending, volunteering, sponsoring, or coaching.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Credentials: Valid IL teaching license with proper endorsements
  • Education: A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree including coursework to meet credential requirements
  • Experience: Student Teaching, Internship, or Previous Employment in Teaching Position
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds.

Salary/Benefits

$41,333 yearly
