Brewster USD 314 is looking for a High School Math Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Coaching and other opportunities are available as well. It would include classes of Pre Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2 and College Algebra if possible. We are a 4-day school week with small class sizes and great families! Our building is PreK-12 so families enjoy having all their kids under the same roof with a daycare located on site.
We are working on adding programs over the next several years to our student offerings. Brewster Tech began the Fall of 2024 with the addition of some career and tech ed classes and virtual offerings. Some classes include 3D printing and CNC machines, Data Analytics, Shop/Ag/Welding, gardening and STEM. We are excited for these new opportunities for our students. We are a 1:1 device district for all students and staff.

The district pays for a single employee health plan, dental plan and life insurance policy. There are options to buy in to children, spouse and family insurance coverage.

Salary Information
The base salary is currently $36,050 and could change depending on negotiations. Years of teaching experience will be considered for salary schedule placement.
Employer Information
Brewster is a small, rural community half way between Colby and Goodland in Northwest Kansas. We are a mile north of I-70 which will link you up to eastern Kansas or Colorado. We are approximately three hours from Denver and Colorado Springs to the west. We are a 1A school for classifications purposes. We have a strong tradition of excellence both inside and outside the classrooms. We have a grocery store and bank in town for conveniences. We are also home to S & T Communications, the telecommunications provider for much of northwest Kansas.
Brewster operates on a four-day week schedule, Monday through Thursday. Friday is typically our off day. Teachers are contracted for 155 school days and our salary schedule is competitive. Our teacher-contracted school day runs from 7:45 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.
Our staff is dedicated and experienced with a mix of new and seasoned teachers.
Academically, we offer our students all required core courses; Welding, Agriculture, FFA, STEM, Gardening, Strength Training and Art, and the complete offerings to allow for Kansas Regents Qualifications and Scholars. We also offer college dual credit courses for our juniors and seniors. Our high school students have a variety of activities available to them including Student Government, National Honor Society, Cross Country, Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Scholar`s Bowl and Track & Field.
