English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher

RTHS is seeking an English as a Secondary Language (ESL) Teacher to join our team. Our student body has grown significantly over the past few years, so we want to continue to offer our students the best learning environment possible. The addition of this position will lower class sizes in several of our key classes and offer additional support thereby providing a better experience for our students and teachers. RTHS offers multiple levels of ESL including push in services to core subject area classes. RTHS is described as a small urban school in a rural setting. RTHS has a very diverse student body that is celebrated as strength of the school. The faculty and staff works within a collaborative culture. RTHS is committed to recruiting, hiring and retaining a diverse staff.

Requirements:
Illinois teacher licensure with the appropriate endorsements.

Salary/Benefits:
Salary can be found in the Collective Bargaining Agreement at www.rths193.org. Additional benifits include 100% of health and vision insurance premiums paid for district employees. A voluntary dental plan exists for employees to buy in at group rates. The school board pays the employee's portion of TRS. A well established new teacher mentor program is in place. Tuition reimbursement is available for those pursuing an advanced degree. Relocation reimbursement is also available.
