Position: Special Education Teacher
Location: Groveport, OH
Start Date: August 2025
Schedule: Full-Time, MondayFriday (Follows school calendar)
School Year: 20252026
Overview:
A full-time Special Education Teacher is needed in Groveport, Ohio for the 20252026 school year. This position will support students in a K12 setting (final grade level assignment based on district need). The teacher will provide direct instruction, develop IEPs, collaborate with school staff, and implement behavior and academic supports in an inclusive and/or resource room environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student needs and state standards
Provide direct instruction in academic and functional skills, either in resource or inclusion settings
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
Manage student behavior using evidence-based interventions
Track and report student progress using data-driven methods
Maintain compliance with IDEA and district policies
Caseload:
Caseload size and grade levels may vary depending on final school placement
Students may have a range of disabilities including SLD, ASD, OHI, or ED
Support may be provided through pull-out, push-in, and co-teaching models
Qualifications:
Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License (Mild/Moderate, Moderate/Intensive, or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of IEP development and compliance
Experience with behavior management and differentiated instruction
Prior school-based experience preferred but not required
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
