About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Spanish Teacher to join our faculty. This individual will inspire students to develop proficiency in Spanish through a communicative, immersive, and culturally rich curriculum. The ideal candidate is a dynamic educator who fosters a love of language learning, integrates technology and creativity into instruction, and thrives in a collaborative, student-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging, differentiated Spanish instruction to students in grades 68.
  • Foster a classroom culture of respect, enthusiasm, and high expectations.
  • Integrate cultural experiences, authentic resources, and real-world applications into lessons.
  • Employ a variety of instructional strategies and assessments to support language acquisition and monitor student progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to support interdisciplinary learning and global education initiatives.
  • Provide regular feedback to students and communicate proactively with families about student growth.
  • Participate actively in school-wide events, professional development, and curriculum planning.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
  • Serve as an advisor or mentor to a small group of students, supporting their academic and social development.

What We Are Looking For

Required:

  • Bachelors degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience, preferably at the middle school level.
  • Native or near-native fluency in Spanish.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Passion for teaching and connecting with middle school students.

Preferred:

  • Masters degree in Spanish, Education, or related field.
  • Florida teaching certification or eligibility for certification.
  • Familiarity with integrating technology and project-based learning.
