Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Math Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education and a commitment to supporting the diverse needs of our students. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and adolescents with special learning and behavioral needs. Teacher will serve students with a wide range of personalities and learning impairments.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging Math curriculum for students in grades 9 - 12. - Provide differentiated instruction to meet the individual learning styles and abilities of students with behavioral and learning disabilities. - Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes creativity, self-expression, and confidence. - Collaborate with other faculty members and support staff to address the unique needs of each student. - Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, technologies, and resources to enhance student learning and engagement. - Assess student progress and provide ongoing feedback to support academic and social-emotional growth. - Participate in school-wide events, meetings, and professional development activities as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Math Education or related field. - Valid teaching Pennsylvania certification/license in Math education. - Experience working with students with behavioral and learning disabilities preferred. - Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and inclusive teaching practices. - Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. - Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children and adolescents with special needs. - Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment that celebrates diversity and individual strengths.
