Opportunities For OtsegoHelping People Changing LivesToddler Classroom Teacher I: Early Head StartHead Start is seeking a creative, organized individual to join our teaching team in meeting the physical, cognitive, and social/emotional needs of toddlers enrolled in the Early Head Start center-based program. As a Classroom Teacher I you will:Work with the Classroom Teacher II to develop, coordinate, and implement daily lesson plans, classroom activities, and outreach eventsGuide children as they learn new skills including feeding, toileting, and self-careFoster a welcoming and safe learning environment that promotes safe exploration for children and encourages parents to be active participants in their childs educationAssist in supervision of classroom teaching staff, volunteers, and support managementin ensuring compliance with day care licensing and Head Start Performance StandardsThis is a year-round position.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in early childhood or a related field with a focus on infant and toddler development; one year of experience in an early childhood program; valid, unrestricted New York State drivers license and reliable transportation.Pay Range Guide:Standard Start Rate - education and experience meet job requirementsAdvanced Start Rate - education and experience exceed job requirements (subject to approval)Pay Range: $18.79 - $21.61 per hourOpportunity For Otsego is an equal opportunity employer.
