The employer is hiring for an Assistant Teacher to work 25-35 hours, 2-4 days per week. The pay is based on experience and starting at $11.25/hr.The Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for young children. This role involves assisting with daily activities, maintaining classroom organization, and ensuring the well-being of children in accordance with state regulations and daycare policies.Key Responsibilities:Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.Supervise children to ensure safety and well-being at all times.Support social and emotional development through positive interactions.Help with meal/snack preparation and assist with feeding as needed.Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.Follow daily schedules and routines, including nap times, playtimes, and hygienic needs such as helping with potty training or changing diapers.Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.Qualifications & Requirements:At least 16 years of age.Previous experience working with young children preferred.CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire.Ability to pass a background check as required by child care licensing regulations.Complete all on boarding & State required trainings within allotted time frames.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Patience, enthusiasm, and a love for working with children.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and carry children (up to 40 lbs)Frequent bending, standing, sitting on the floor, and engaging in active play.Compensation & Benefits:Wage dependent on experience.Select paid holidays.Opportunities for career growth within the daycare.
