Now Hiring: Certified Elementary Teacher for Private Homeschooling (Ages 5 & 6, Speech Delay, Mild Autism & ADHD) in Fredericksburg for next school year only.

We are a caring, committed family seeking a certified elementary teacher to provide private, in-home homeschooling for our two wonderful children, ages 5 and 6, next school year. Both children are bright, energetic, and full of potential, and they benefit from a learning environment that is patient, structured, and responsive to their unique needs. Both children have a speech delay, and the other has been diagnosed with ADHD.

Position Overview:

• Location: Fredericksburg

• Schedule: Monday–Friday 4-5 hours per day (flexible based on mutual fit)

• Start Date: Around Labor Day

• Curriculum: We have several curricula that we like. Learning will be based on state education standards. Child-centered and developmentally appropriate, emphasizing play-based, hands-on, and multi-sensory learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to each child's learning style and pace

• The preferred learning style is hands-on

• Incorporate strategies that support speech and language development

• Use movement, routine, and positive reinforcement to support focus and
engagement

• Create a nurturing, predictable, and fun learning environment

• Create lesson plans and/or coordinate plans for auxiliary lessons such as Art, Music, etc.

Qualifications:

• Certified in elementary education (required)

• Experience teaching early learners preferred, particularly those with speech and/or attention differences

• Training or familiarity with ADHD and speech/language support strategies
(preferred)

• Kind, patient, energetic, and adaptable teaching style

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• CPR/First Aid certified (preferred)

• Occasional travel will be required
