Adult Instructor/Program Manager
Save the Family is a transitional self-sufficiency program for homeless families with children located in Mesa, Arizona. Its mission is to help children in homeless families by treating the whole family with programs to break the cycle of poverty, abuse, and homelessness. Save the Family strengthens the Valley?s Communities by facilitating their transition to self-sufficiency.
The primary role of the Adult Instructor/Program Manager is to oversee Program Staff and to provide clients with the following:
? opportunity to participate in positive, educational, personal and economic management activities
? special resources that support their development
? learning and practice of positive parenting skills
Activities in accomplishing this task include but are not limited to:
? Conducting assessment interviews with adult clients under the supervision of the Clinical Director and/or Director(s) of Case Management.
? Plan, prepare and deliver weekly classes for adult clients, monthly client orientation, and weekly client contract signings, etc?
? Plan related special events, field trips, and educational activities that sometimes include other family members.
? Completion of written documentation of program activities as needed for Save the Family curricula development, yearly reports, and agency funding
sources as requested by the Clinical Director, Director(s) of Case Management, and Administration, as well as management of HMIS program input.
? Provide community outreach opportunities for adult clients to participate in a variety of appropriate educational, recreational, and self -development
activities.
? Manage and coordinate program scheduling and services with other instructors, childcare providers, and Save the Family transportation.
? Completing required paperwork, documentation, and maintaining the assigned clients? files in a timely manner under the direction of the Supervisor.
? Supervise Kids Works, Youth Advocate and transportation personnel
? Contribute to the creation and maintenance of STF partnership and collaborations
Qualifications:
? Bachelor?s Degree in social services, education, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
? Applicants should have a demonstrated track record in developing, coordinating and managing program delivery and initiating and facilitating
community outreach.
? Have strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
? Experience in the field of domestic violence preferred.
? Able to obtain a Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance Card pursuant to title 41, chapter 12, article 3.1, possess a valid Arizona Drivers License, and meet Save the Family?s driving insurability requirements.
Hours: Monday through Friday, some nights and weekends.
Salary: $35-$40k depending upon experience
