Applications are being accepted for a full-time Nursing Instructor at Moraine Park Technical College, Beaver Dam campus. The primary teaching responsibility will be clinical instruction in the Nursing Program, however, class assignments and locations may vary from term to term. This instructor may be asked to teach at various sites within the Moraine Park District to include campus, center and business locations, and may be required to teach on evenings and weekends. This position reports to the Dean of Nursing. Beginning Date: Immediately Characteristic Duties / Responsibilities: Provide learner-centered, active learning environments and activities for students regardless of delivery format: traditional classroom, video-based, independent study, interactive video conferencing (IVC), accelerated, self-paced, on-line (internet), or others as appropriate. Working within the District policies, provide instruction in the Nursing Program as assigned. Participate actively in the work of the Work Team and other teams of the College. Assist in the ongoing development of and revision of performance-based curriculum using the Worldwide Instructional Design System (WIDS) model. Plan instruction and materials that incorporate a variety of learning styles and intelligence to enable students to achieve course outcomes in accordance with College, workteam and legal guidelines. Maintain required district reports and student records. Monitor student progress and participate in student evaluation according to the concepts of Performance Based Instruction (PBI). Work collaboratively with faculty and staff to support the primary system of teaching and learning, and to foster a learner-centered environment incorporating MPTC's standards of teaching excellence. Provide occupational information and guidance to students. Assist in marketing and promotional activities for the program. Develop professionally through an individualized professional growth plan which provides for continuous improvement and which may include internal and external training, in-service activities and occupational and technological updates. Essential Skills & Knowledge: Working knowledge of active teaching techniques, core ability integration and performance assessment. Ability to communicate ideas effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to design and write performance-based curriculum. Ability to participate in teams and processes effectively. Ability to use PC computers for word processing, e-mail and curriculum delivery. Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Nursing or expected graduation from an MSN program within one year. Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin. Two (2) years of experience in direct care nursing practice within the last five years. Must meet area 543 certification requirements established by the Wisconsin Technical College System Board. We are currently seeking a Math/Reading Teacher at one of our outdoor therapeutic programs located in Milton, FL. Purpose Provide educational experiences to all students who are involved in the therapeutic portion of the camping program through group and individualized instruction, and specifically ensure that students identified as exceptional students have educational involvement in accordance with their IEP's. Teach daily math classes and intensive reading class. Duties Develop written plans for individual students assigned to include goals and objectives to meet exceptionality identified. Extend core student activities, special programs and projects to meet identified academic needs and interest of students. Utilize varied methods and adjust them to content, materials and other student characteristics. Maintain folders of student's progress and work. Evaluate student progress via bi-weekly student portfolios, standardized tests, etc. Adjust educational plans as needed. Participate in training and other in-service/staff development programs as required. Report any acts, incidents, or conditions that reflect the possibility of inappropriate client to client or staff to client relationships. Report any use of physical force and all unusual incidents per EYA and state specific guidelines.
